About
Megan currently works as the Head of Careers, with a primary role in overseeing the operational management of the department and team and ensuring smooth day-to-day running of the service. Megan also currently takes a lead on working with researchers (PGRs and ECRs) from across the university.
Prior to joining the University of Stirling in 2017, Megan was a Careers Consultant at the Universities of Nottingham and Leicester (specialising in the Business School and Law respectively), and before that worked in various law schools in London as a Careers Consultant while studying her Postgraduate Diploma in Career Guidance at London South Bank University. Megan’s initial experience in education was working in Further Education colleges in Nottingham; this has led to a career-long interest in widening participation and Megan sits on a number of university-wide working groups (Corporate Parenting; Student Carers; Digital Accessibility). Other areas of interest include internationalisation, management information, and the use of technology in learning and teaching.
Megan is a member of AGCAS (Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services) and sits on the AGCAS national Community Committee as the Scotland representative.
